Virtual Store

They said...

There are stores in Korea that doesn't hold physical items on shelves; they are the virtual stores.

Virtual stores uses QR codes and Bar codes that can be scanned with your smartphones. People can use their smartphones to scan these codes and have the items delivered to their homes. Considering how fast the delivery services are in Asia, this is a good way to get people use online shopping in an another unique way. This is supposed to reduce the amount of time spent on the line and reduce customer dissatisfaction.

Even Canada, Toronto has gotten a virtual store recently. It is known to be located in Front and Bay street and has some products for customers to purchase. Virtual stores are supposed to reduce the risk of theft and costs associated with hiring clerks to stock the items.

Despite the positive aspects of this innovative idea, it would be better to see one day these virtual stores having physical items in the back with employees checking the items being purchased by the consumers in the store and have the items all packaged and ready to go by the time customers get to the counter to check out.
